Blogtober Challenge 31: Passing It On

Welcome to the LAST post of the Blogtober Challenge!!!!!

Finally, whoo. That was the most exhilirating month ever!
May I celebrate now? Yeah? I can? Realy!? YAY!
*Party poppers burst*
* Fireworks blaze*
*Flash mob dances*
*A feast is served*

So, yeah, just a small celebration.

For my final Blogtober post, I want to share the Blogtober legacy. The last challenge is that I give some blog post ideas. Let me do some tweaking.

I will share with you a new monthly challenge that you can try yourself.
I call it the Slambook Challenge.

Here is how it goes.
You know those little answer books that we used to force our friends to fill up? It contains details of their likes, dislikes, beliefs and a message to the owner of the book at the end. In the Philippines, we call it a slambook or an autograph book.

The point of the Slambook Challenge is that a slambook question will be posted. Based on the question, the challenger will post a minimum of 500-word entry for that day. There is an option for a daily challenge for a month. There is an option for a yearlong challenge wherein there will be 12 challenges per month and four posts must be done for that specific challenge month.

For example, the question is “What is your favorite color?” Now, based on that question, you have to post a 500-word entry. The challenge is to think out of the box because how can you say that blue is your favorite color in a minimum of 500 words?
If you are a lifestyle blogger, then you can expand the post by writing about the psychology of color and its relevance to a person’s mood.
If you are a fashion blogger, then you can post your fashion items in a specific color or the trendy colors for the season.
If you are a cooking blogger, then you can post recipes using oranges or a specific color group.
If you are a mom blogger then maybe you can post about the color swashes that you use on your kids annd how they react to them.
If you are a review blogger then you can post a review for a title with a color in it (Orange Is The New Black, The Colour Purple, Yellow, R.E.D)
If you are a health blog then you can post the significance of color in different medical situations.

These are merely suggestions on how you can fulfill that 500-word entry. Of course, if you can explain your favorite color in 500 words then  that works too.

The Slambook Challenge

This is my last post for the Blogtober Challenge. This is me giving an opportunity for other bloggers to experience the same love, support, pride, frustration, stress, happiness, and fulfillment that I experienced while doing this challenge.

Thank you for supporting me. I invite you to try this challenge, or the one that I had just created, or just a challenge. Will you?

Blogtober Challenge 17: Empathy For The Newbie

What gives me the right to preach? What gives me the authority to say what must be done? What makes me accountable for all that I can advice?

Blogtober Challenge 17 is all about the tips that I could give to new bloggers. It sounds quite unreliable that I, a new blogger, will tell other new bloggers what to do to get better in their craft.

That is the purpose of Struggling To Be A Human Being. I am here to empathize. I know hard it is to start a new blog. I am not here to give tips. I would rather call them personal experiences of mine that works for me.

Blogtober Challenge 12: Too Early To Tell

This is the 12th Blogtober Challenge. The awkward thing about this is it that it gives the task that I share how I have been since I started to blog.

As it was emphasized every now and then, this is a new blog. This blog is so new that I wished that this task was scheduled for the end of Blogtober. But, I guess, that is the challenge to that.

In a span of less than a month, I did see a change.

1. I became busier. As if six hours of sleep is enough. Let me try three hours.

2. I learned to be more patient with unfortunate occurrences.

3. I was socializing again. A shootout to all of my new friends.

4. My mind is imagination-hyperdrive. It is consistently finding something blogworthy. With Blogtober, it is always thinking of how I could successfully fulfill each challenge.

5. I learned to be critical. I learned to think of my own opinion on different issues.

Apparently, my mind and body is pushing itself to get more involved with life ever since the first blog post. I am frighteningly excited about how much I can change if I continue on to blog?

How did blogging change you? Have you experienced a major adjustment in your life and fins yourself overwhelmed at how much you can give yourself to it? Share your thoughts.

Blogtober Challenge 11: Sneak Peek Clumsy

Today’s post marks that I am currently 1/3 of the way to completing all Blogtober Challenges.

Today, I am supposed to share a sneak peek behind-the-scenes look of my blog.

Struggling To Be A Human Being has not even celebrated its first monthsary yet.

This blog is new, thus, I have no routine yet as to how I fill the blog up with content. I am still struggling, actually. As of the moment, I am still adjusting to the responsibility of posting everyday via Blogtober, making connections with fellow bloggers, desperately trying to gain more reach, and providing more crisp and engaging visuals to support and colorfy my posts.

Despite that, I have been writing for two years now. Even then, I had no proper routine. I wrote when when I wanted. I posted my content when I felt like it. Yet, as a writer, I have more concrete processes on how I conjure my content than on how I materialize them into cyberspace.

Blogtober Challenge 9: Sending In The Welcoming Committee

I am already nine days into the challenge. Can you believe it???? Nine days!!! I almost lost my streak too!

With much love and support, I pursue on and today’s task is about creating an introduction post to new readers.

There are things that I decided upon as I was making this post.

1. I decided to turn the post into a permanent page on the site.

2. I started writing as a roleplayer on Kik and Instagram. So, I felt it appropriate to start the new readers by engaging them in something that I know that I am good at. That is to create roleplay starters. Besides, I started as a roleplayer then I might as well introduce the blog via roleplay too.

3. I used a dog as a representation of myself in the roleplay. This maintains the anonymity and the flexibility of my identity as the author of this blog. Also, this serves as homage to Barney, our first family dog. He was a white shih tzu with brown spots. He died a few months ago after almost five years of being with us.

Now, I present to you my introduction post.

Hope you like it. Tell me what you think!

Blogtober Challenge 4: Tick tock, Life Runs Out

Who would have know that I can survive four days of this blogging challenge. The question for today is “What is left on your bucket list?”

Lucky for me, I just had written an official bucket list of mine a few months ago. I always thought that lists like that and New Year resolutions are something that should not only be put in paper. I had no plans of making any bucket lists. That was before the time that I could see that I will not accomplish anything “bucket list” worthy. My perception started to change when I was already on my first job. Funny how the feeling of working hard, earning money, and providing for the family can change a person. Next that I knew, I had this feeling that I could accomplish anything. I had received this hope that I could actually amount to something. This is my hope of living a life well-spent. So, I decided to write my initial bucket list a few months back. Who knows? I might add some more. I thought that it was about time.

Blogtober Challenge 3: White Girl Scout Cookies

My white go-to essentials

Hello to the third day of my Blogtober Challenge.
Today, I am tasked to share my everyday essentials.

I technically do not have any everyday essentials. What I do have are things that are essential to me based on where I use them. (Art, photography, going out, writing)

Blogtober Challenge 2: Mightier Than The Sword

Welcome to the second day of my Blogtober challenge! I am not only welcoming you but I am also welcoming myself! I have yet to stick to a commitment and hopefully this will be the first.

I was tasked to share my favorite quotes. Well, I have so many so if I stated them all here then this post might even be twice as long as my first Blogtober entry.

I do 90% of my blogging on my tablet. I use a USB keyboard case to get the job done. From the outside, you can only see purple synthetic leather. Once opened, it reveals the keyboard and a list of quotes that I have written at the inner side of the case. These quotes are reminders of who I was, who I am, and who I aim to be. Some are just so fun to write down along with the others. They have no order of importance as to how I will write them below.

Fun Fact: Each quote can be traced back to a specific fandom, character, or celebrity. Yes, I am a fangirl. Deal with it. I will write below each quote and a shorty as to how it is relevant to me (or not.). Let us play a game. Let us see if you can guess from which are the quotes taken from. Ehehehe
